Yeezy is a collaboration between Kanye West and Adidas, active from 2015 until Adidas terminated the partnership in October 2022. All authentic Yeezy product was manufactured and distributed by Adidas; pieces produced or labeled as "Yeezy" after this date without an Adidas partnership are not genuine. The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 is the most counterfeited sneaker in the Yeezy line, followed by the 700, 500, and Foam Runner. Authentication requires examining the Boost sole, the SPLY-350 print quality, and the box label style code simultaneously.

Key authentication signals

• Boost sole translucency and pellet randomness. Authentic Yeezy Boost soles show a slightly translucent appearance — you can perceive depth into the foam through the surface. The individual Boost pellets are arranged in an organic, non-repeating pattern with no visible diagonal rows or grids. On counterfeits the Boost substitute appears more opaque, and the pellets fall into orderly rows or repeating diagonal sequences — a direct result of different tooling.
• SPLY-350 print definition. The "SPLY-350" text runs along the midfoot stripe on applicable colorways. On authentic pairs the "Y" character shows two decisive, clean strokes diverging at a clear angle. On fakes the "Y" often resembles a "V" — the strokes merge into a single narrowing point without the defined fork geometry.
• Primeknit upper consistency. The Primeknit upper on the 350 V2 shows a consistent, dense knit structure with no loose threads or yarn gaps. Seam transitions between panels are smooth. Fakes use a lower-density knit that shows individual yarn loops more visibly and exhibits loose ends at seam edges.
• Translucent stripe termination. On 350 V2 colorways with a translucent lateral stripe, the stripe terminates short of the toe area and does not extend to the toe tip. On counterfeits this stripe is frequently elongated to reach the toe, or the translucency level is incorrect — either too opaque or too clear.
• Box label style code suffix. Yeezy 350 V2 style codes follow adidas's 6-character alphanumeric format. US releases use codes ending in V02 or V03; international releases end in V10. A code suffix inconsistent with the claimed release region is a mismatch indicator.
• Inner size tag construction. The inner tag is stitched to the shoe lining with even, tight stitching along all four edges. The tag shows the style code, size, country of manufacture, and adidas branding. Loose stitching along any tag edge or mismatched font weights between lines are fake indicators.

Serial and reference numbers

Yeezy products use adidas's standard 6-character style code system. Each colorway has a specific code verifiable against adidas's official release records and authenticated resale platforms. Cross-referencing the style code against the specific colorway and release date is essential, as counterfeiters often apply incorrect style codes to fakes of popular colorways.

Common counterfeit red flags

• Boost sole pellets arranged in repeating diagonal rows rather than an organic, non-repeating distribution.
• Translucent lateral stripe extends to the toe tip on a 350 V2 where it should terminate short of it.
• "SPLY-350" text shows a V-shaped Y rather than a defined two-stroke fork.
• Style code region suffix does not match the claimed release region.
