How blog content is researched, written, fact-checked, and updated on BrandCheck.

Sources

Our authentication guides combine information from:

We avoid speculation, replica-marketplace forums, or anonymized "secrets" without a verifiable source.

Authorship and review

Every article on the blog is attributed to a named author with their credentials and bio. Where applicable, articles are reviewed by a second editor (the Reviewed by badge in the sidebar) — typically someone with hands-on experience in the relevant brand category.

Author backgrounds, photos, and verifiable social links are listed on each author's profile page. We do not use ghostwriters or syndicated content.

AI usage disclosure

Some articles are drafted with AI assistance, then materially edited and fact-checked by a human author before publication. We do not publish unedited AI output. Articles where AI played a substantial role in research are flagged in the body.

Updates and corrections

Brand authentication rules change over time — Louis Vuitton's switch from date codes to NFC chips in 2021 is a good example. We update articles as the underlying facts change. Each post displays both Published and (when applicable) Updated dates.

Spotted an error? Email support@brandchecker.site with the article URL and the correction. We respond and update within 5 business days.

Affiliations and conflicts

BrandCheck is independent and not affiliated with any brand we cover. We accept no sponsorships, gifts, or paid placements from luxury houses, resellers, or authentication services. Our only revenue is per-check fees from end users.
